The Chicago run of American Gypsy went well. I was surprised by the amount of support and the wonderful feedback. Oddly enough I think of all three characters, the one that needs the most refining is the one based off me. Sandy is a great director and never failed to surprise me with his stunningly accurate observations and comments.

MagicMouth has some more great news! We’ve added a third! Alyssa Biber. She’s done so much for us and hasn’t expected a single thing in return. Guts and I didn’t even have to discuss it. She’s in.

We just received our dates! August 22-29th! Guts has yet to send me the times but they’ll be up soon.

I recall hell week of Awakening and how a lack of sleep caused carpet fibers to animate and start talking to one another with the familiar voices of cartoon characters from my childhood. While it was somewhat nostalgic, I had a suspicion it wasn’t necessarily healthy. Of course I don’t see that happening during American Gypsy. I’d suspect any voices I heard would be that of magicians I’d heard from my childhood.

Costume design is more or less finished. I was worried that what I felt the costume needed to be wasn’t going to be articulated wi
