Mission Statement:

MagicMouth Theatre is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization dedicated to the development
of a new theatre genre that combines the art of drama with the art of illusion, while educating
fellow artists and communities in both art forms.

The Goals of MMT:

To strive to create original theatrical performances, guiding them from inception to
production in a manner consistent with the group’s desire to incorporate high quality
magic into high quality theatre. We do not currently own a physical theatre space, so
productions are developed and mounted in spaces most appropriate to the work. We’ve
performed in theaters that  seat as many as five hundred, as well as theaters that seat as
few as fifty. To create opportunities for emerging actors, directors, playwrights, magicians
and designers to develop their respective crafts when possible. Our productions, by their
very nature, may require incorporation of different media and developmental techniques,
given that our type of theatre is very new. To promote this type of theatre through education.
We assist curricular goals of grade and high schools, as well as the individual seeking
instruction in magic. The former is done through specially tailored performances designed
to engage and excite students about the ‘magic’ of the world around them, taught inside
or outside the classroom. The latter is done primarily through use of MagicMouth’s
developing website, where a monthly posting will teach simple tricks to the novice
magician. To provide special the forums, electronic and physical, for enhanced
communication and interaction between theatre and magic artists, that are necessary for the
development of a bridge between these two artistic worlds
